Fragrance Festival Windows
Launching in August, this year’s Alternative Fragrance Festival celebrates the stories of perfume’s greatest composers, curators, renegades and visionaries. Discover how the team translated these hidden layers and complexities into a sensory display.
With fragrance, it’s important to evoke a sensory experience and this window display is based around the last embers of summer; a dry landscape exposed to months of hot summer sun.
The landscape is built from dunes of dark burnt sand, shells, drift wood and dried crispy flowers, set against a lilac backdrop to contrast the warm tones from the perfume to make them sing.
We wanted to evoke the feeling of a sunset, casting light through the perfume bottles for the various tones of amber liquid. We created translucent plinths, making them seem warped and melted against the heat of the summer.
